This report makes recommendations to Government which, taken together, culminate in a call for a single Adult Safeguarding Bill to be introduced to better protect older people in Northern Ireland.

Older people in Northern Ireland must have confidence that they will be supported and protected. I am calling on the Minister of Health, Social Services and Public Safety and the Minister of Justice to introduce legislation which will give older people the certainty they need and deserve.
